Peter Blake and Pop Music opens at Pallant House Gallery in Chichester on 23rd June.

Alongside the Peter Blake and Pop Music exhibition Pallant House Gallery will be holding a complementary exhibition highlighting the artworks created by Pop musicians, bringing together works by some of the most celebrated figures in the music industry. The exhibition will explore the fact that many musicians studied at art school, and amongst the selection we are including artworks by musicians such as Ian Dury, Bryan Ferry, John Squire, John Lennon, Pete Doherty, Bill Wyman, Stuart Sutcliffe, and Humphrey Ocean. Each of the musicians to be featured in the show has used visual art as an important creative outlet. Encompassing a variety of media that includes album cover artwork and illustrated lyrics, it will explore how design has been employed alongside song-writing and live performance as a key part of their artistic careers.  The exhibition runs from 23 June to 7 October.
